Rules
Students are required to bring their school diary everyday.
Students should reach the school by 10 minutes before morning assembly.
Students are required to go to the assembly in orderly manner as soon as bell for assembly rings.
Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home. Use of hair gel is not allowed. Wearing low waist trousers is forbidden.
Parents are not permitted to visit the classroom to meet their sons/daughters/wards.
Finger nails must be cut short and kept clean.
Students are advised to keep their class room, school buildings and campus as clean as possible, and throw leftovers into dustbins.
No student should shout or whistle in the school premises.
Students are expected to respect school property. No student damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Headmaster/Headmistress/Vice-Principal or the Principal.
No books (other than text books or library books), magazines or paper should be brought to the school.
Students will not boycott the orders, directions and instructions given to them by the school authorities.
- Eden Public School Students should invariably be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their” teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.
- The school emphasises a high standard of discipline and also demands from students serious application to their studies as well as other pursuits. This calls for co-operation from parents. It requires their honouring the school rules and regulations themselves as well as seeing that their sons/ daughters/wards also do the same.
- Students must be punctual and regular to school. They should be neatly dressed in the proper school uniform.
- Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings.
- Any act of omission which may harm the atmosphere of the school or affects its image will be treated as serious indiscipline.
- Students will maintain decorum & discipline in the laboratories. In case of any damage or breakage to the apparatus issued to the students will replace the same withing 3 Days.
- THE SCHOOL UNIFORM should be worn tidily and correctly both at school and between home and school. The full school uniform must be worn at all times. Shirts are to be tucked in; socks are to be pulled up. Where a situation arises concerning a student’s uniform, written requests for temporary wearing of non-regulation iterns must be referred to Headmaster/Principal.
- Do not spoil or Pluck flowers.
- The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or fountain pens) to school.
- Hair must be of natural colour and not dyed. Excesses of current fashion in relation to style, colour and length are not acceptable.
- The length of the hair(girl)is to be above the eyebrows and off the face.
- Make-up must not be worn.
- Students are not permitted to have visible tattoos.
- The following are not to be brought on to the school grounds:
- Alcohol or drugs in any form
- Chemicals
- Cigarettes or tobacco
- Knives or other weapons
- Matches/lighter/explosive or dangerous material
- Pornographic or any other offensive material Cameras
- Scooters or similar
- Expensive bicycles or bicycle accessories or other costly equipment
- Cellular phones/CD players/IPods/ MP3 Players.
- The following are strictly forbidden:
- Smoking and the use of alcohol or other drugs, or being in the company of those who are smoking or using alcohol or drugs.
- Distributing of literature or any form of written matter (without the prior permission of the Headmaster/Principal).
BULLYING. Any form, verbal or physical, or any means of bullying or victimisation is strictly forbidden.
LITTER. It is the responsibility of every student in the school to ensure that the school is free from litter. Students are also encouraged to take the responsibility for litter in their immediate vicinity and place any litter in the many bins placed around the school.
Students are required to attend all classes and remain in the school grounds. No student may leave the school grounds during interval or lunch without prior permission.
LEAVE APPLICATIONS. Parents, please consider carefully the effect on learning and the consequences of asking for leave during school time. The process of applying for leave is for parents/guardians to write to the Principal well in advance, notifying dates and the reason for absence. Each application is considered fully by the student’s teachers, before being granted or otherwise by the Headmaster.
Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments such as Knives etc. to the school, or any kind of object that can cause injury to others.
Students will not instigate co-students or juniors to indulge in any misbehavior or any form of antischool activity which will bring disrepute to the school and could spoil the career of the concerned student.
EPS provides education from Pre Nursery to Class XII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their seniors. There should be perfect harmony amongst all the students.
Fees can be paid by draft/cash on or before 10 of every month. Thereafter a fine of Rs 50/- per month will charged.
Attendance
- It is compulsory for all students to complete 80% attendance before every exam to make them eligible to sit for the examination. In case attendance is less than 75%, students will not be eligible for promotion/any academic award. Students whose attendance is less than 80% but more than 75% before every exam may be allowed to sit for the exam by paying a fine of Rs 1000 for each exam.
- Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls summarily; Readmission may be granted only on full payment of the readmission fee.
- All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present before closing for the vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate within 3 days of absence through Fax, a representative or School website. Students will be charged a fine of Rs. 100/- for every day of absence.
- A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a fitness certificate from a doctor.
NOTE: FOR ANY ACT OF SERIOUS INDISCIPLINE, THE SCHOOL RESERVES ITS RIGHT TO EXPEL THE STUDENT WITH OR WITHOUT WARNING.
Punishment
Violation of Rule 3,6,7,8,10,16,18,21,24,25,26,31 and 32 may be subjected to a fine of Rs. 100. Repetition of violation of the same rules may be subjected to a fine of Rs. 1000.
Withdrawal
- If a child has to be withdrawn from school in the mid of the academic session, the fees for the entire academic session will be charged.
- Transfer certificates for children withdrawn are not issued until all dues are settled.
- Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds :
- Disciplinary.
- Unsatisfactory progress in work.
- Detention or repeated detention in a class.
- As a rule only those students will be retained on the roll of the school who can take the school leaving examination under 18 years of age.
A student who fails twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school
